ROBERT SUMRELL works with the world's foremost innovators, artists and advertisers. He is a passionate production designer and artist who brings more than twenty years of experience to fashion campaigns, product launches, events, concert staging, films and decor. By providing an encyclopedic knowledge of design, fashion, culture and fabrication to fit a client's individual needs, Robert conceives and develops striking and original visual strategies and trendsetting marketing for a diverse portfolio of clients. As a passionate advocate for social justice, Robert assembles and leads teams to bring diversity, skill and kindness to every project he joins.
Before graduating with a master’s degree in architecture at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, Robert held a lifelong passion for and study of interiors and design. He moved his studio to New York in 2008 where he has since taught architecture in the Graduate Program at Columbia University and pursued art. His work has been exhibited at MoMA, The New Museum, High Desert Test sites and the MAK in Vienna.
With an extensive body of work for a variety of global clients, Robert has led numerous projects between Hong Kong, Morocco, Argentina, Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland. His clients include Apple, Google, Samsung, Tom Ford, Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Kate Spade, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Nike, Uniqlo, H&M, Banana Republic, M.A.C. Cosmetics, L’Oreal, LVMH, La Perla, Aesop, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie among others.
Robert works locally between NYC and Los Angeles.
