LUIS SANCHIS is a Spanish born photographer and filmmaker who currently resides in NYC. Luis picked up his first camera at the age of 17, learning his craft by shooting Super 8 movies of his friends. He moved to New York in 1994 to take his skills to the next level and pursue his career and published his first Monograph in 2018.
Luis has always had a very unique aesthetic that has stood out throughout the years. He has a deep understanding of mood, color and lighting techniques, which sets him apart from his peers. Luis' images were quickly recognized by THE FACE magazine in the beginning of his career, which led to a regular collaboration.
Since the start of his career, Luis has traveled the world drawing inspiration from new places and is always seeking to capture the surreal in any environment, which is evident in the portfolio of imagery he has created over the years.
Luis has an extensive list of clients including Gucci, Armani, Nike, H&M, Diesel, Kenzo, Pucci, Missoni, Alexander McQueen, Persol and the Art Of Fashion. Some of his editorial clients include Vogue, Homme + and The Face. As well, he has showcased his work at group shows and exhibitions in ICP Boston, PS1, NYC, Berlin and Tokyo.
