About the Artist

DANIELLE SELIG was born in Sydney and started her career as a lawyer before realizing her true passion for design. This transition in industries saw her become Style Editor at the renowned interiors publication Vogue Living, before relocating to the United States. Danielle has a keen eye for furniture and interior design, drawing influences from modernist aesthetics, which can be seen in her raw and deconstructed style and her knack for finding beauty in simple forms.

Her practice has naturally extended to include sculpture, which she assembles from raw and collected materials from nature and industry. She explores texture and abstract forms often balancing her work together using clay, string or other fasteners that are temporary in nature. She enjoys reutilizing found or industrial materials that have been discarded, finding beauty in reinventing these materials.

Danielle's work has been published in titles including Dazed, Calvin Klein, POP, The New York Times, US Vogue and Wall Street Journal. She works with brands including Nike, Salvatore Ferragamo, Coach, Converse, Uniqlo and Theory. Danielle is based in New York and works internationally.
