JAMES LEAR is a set designer who is most at-home when working on multi-faceted projects, especially at large scale. Born and raised in Philadelphia, with an early background in furniture design, James graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2008. He spent the next decade in New York, where he eventually gravitated toward set design within the fashion world. James was opened up to a new scale of design after relocating to LA and has cultivated a diverse client list throughout his career. His clients include Salvatore Ferragamo, Cole Haan, Nike, Apple, Samsung, Equinox, Self Magazine, GQ, Schön Magazine and Vanity Fair. He collaborates with photographers and directors such as Carlos Serrao, Jacob Sutton, Anthony Blasko and Laurie Bartley. James currently works between LA & NYC.
